When should you get a coach?

If you’re feeling stuck with your progress or want to step up from where you are right now

If you want to reach a certain outcome, like launching your marketplace or raising investment

If you want a regular sounding board as you grow into your role as a marketplace founder

My style of coaching

I combine my experience as a marketplace founder and consultant with proven coaching techniques, asking open questions to help you reflect, be challenged and grow.

My unique background helps me ask the right questions – and offer my perspective when useful. You can talk honestly about the challenges you’re facing with someone who’s been there and understands.

How coaching sessions work

The "big agenda"

In our very first session, we’ll talk about your long-term goals as a marketplace founder. This is the “big agenda” that will guide our work.

The "small agenda"

Then, at the start of every coaching call we’ll define the focus for the current session and discuss how it links to your “big agenda”.

Reflection and action

At the end of each session we’ll take a moment to reflect on what what we've discussed and what steps you will be taking as a result.

FAQs

Who do you coach?

I coach founders who are at the beginning of their journey to building a successful online marketplace.

Can I have a complimentary session first?

Yes! I offer a free 30-minute discovery call to provide us with an opportunity to get to know each other and talk about your coaching expectations as well as my background. This will help us to decide if we’re a good fit for each other.

You can book time with me here.

How should I prepare for my coaching sessions?

Preparation makes all the difference in coaching. If you prepare well, you’ll get far more out of it than if you just show up. Here's a few tips:

  • Take a few moments to reflect on what we discussed in the previous session
  • Think about what happened since that session.
  • Think about what you would like to get out of the session today, the “small agenda”.
  • Make sure you’ve got a comfortable private space where you won’t be interrupted and that your internet connection is fast and reliable.
How often will we meet?

I usually meet with my coaching clients once every two weeks for a 60 minute coaching session. However, this can very depending on your specific needs.

How does the coaching session end?

No coaching relationship is meant to last forever. One of my jobs as a coach is to make myself redundant by helping you grow as a marketplace founder and achieve your goals.

Throughout our coaching journey we'll be tracking the progress you're making towards your goals. At some point we'll notice that your initial goals have been achieved. This will be a natural point for us to discuss what's next for you after our coaching relationship ends.
